UN denies Ban Ki Moon’s anti-Iranian interview
TEHRAN, Feb. 20 (MNA) – The Spokesman of the UN Secretary General has said in reaction to Iran’s objection to Secretary’s recent remarks on Iran that he has never said that Iran would make nuclear bomb.

KUNA, Kuwait News Agency has quoted Martin Nesirky as saying to media about the UN Secretary General’s recent remarks on Iran in his interview with Washington Post daily that “Secretary General has never accused Iran of making nuclear weapon,” rejecting the allegations.

Meanwhile, Washington Post, quoting UN Secretary General, wrote that “Iran has used negotiations as a covering for its making nuclear weapons,” and that “world powers should not waste time.”

However, Nesirky answered negatively when asked by the reporters whether the Secretary General would deny Washington Post interview, adding that “Washington Post interviewer has misquoted Moon’s remarks, and consequently, has rendered a distorted statement.”

Spokesman of UN Secretary General added that Secretary had told the interviewer that world should not give so much time to Iranians, and waste time. World has seen what happened in North Korea.

Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to UN sent an official letter and expressed Iran’s discontent on Secretary’s recent Iran remarks in interview with Washington Post. Mohammad Khazaee said in letter that if Washington Post report was true, it was very sorry that UN Secretary General had taken a position on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program contrary to his obvious international duties.
